Key Person time: W/C: 25th September

For your child’s Key Person time, we would like them to bring in a photo or a drawing of someone who is special to them, for example, a parent, grandparent, auntie, uncle, friend etc. Please could you have a discussion with your child so they are ready to share things to their class about that person.

For your child’s Home Learning, we are sending out the letters that they are learning. Please practise recognising the phonemes and start making simple words. This will be for the next two weeks.

Key Person time: W/C: 18th September

For our first Key Person time we would like your child to talk about what they can do independently at home and are proud of doing by themselves.

Your child will also be receiving a ‘home learning’ sheet linked to our current topic ‘People who help us.’

Forest school kits will be needed for Wednesday 20th September.

Thank you for your support

Year 1 – What makes a good question? continued…

Today we have been looking at the success criteria about what makes a good question. So far we have said that questions need question openers such as, who, where, what, when, why and how. They need a question marks. We all practised writing them. Questions ask something that requires an answer. We decided to verbally create some sentences. Take a good at our WABOLL (What a good one looks like) questions!
